Hi all. I know I haven't been around here for a while, but our lives have become quite hectic.
Jamie has had a terrible week at school this week and we are not entirely sure why that is. She is becoming more and more agressive towards the other students and the staff. She is using unacceptable language. For example, another student passed her in the hallway and said "Hi Jamie. How are you?" and Jamie's reply was "Shut-up, stupid ass".
Jamie's teacher is very concerned about this and Jamie's classmates are starting to become afraid of her. Kids that used to like to include Jamie are shying away from her now. This makes me soooo sad for her.
We have hired an outside child psychologist to do a complete developmental/cognitive/behavioural assessment so that we can get a firm behaviour plan in place, but I do not think it will be done in time to be implemented this year. Oh well, I guess it will be in place for next year.
Oftentimes there is no obvious trigger and sometimes it is complete attention seeking behaviour.
I have also learned that next year there are 3 more kids with special needs coming into the school and the school has been denied any additional EA support. So, Jamie's EA will be spread across 3 kids. That is not going to work well for Jamie at all.
UGH
I am just so darn frustrated and sad right now.
